Steve's Bio
Steve Jordan grew up a star athlete in New Jersey. He went on to study Kinesiology at the University of Maryland, where he discovered his aptitude for fitness. He developed his style by training friends, and was soon invited to whip our governing bodies into shape at the White House Athletic Center. He created his own fitness regimen, and began to get noticed within the community. Sounds pretty standard? Wait.
While a sophomore in college, Steve Jordan fell off a roof and landed on his head. After eight hours of brain surgery, he was on the brink of death. Four days later, he woke up - with memory, hearing loss and temporary paralysis afflicting half of his face. After 3 years of extensive rehab, several operations to reconstruct his eardrums and plastic surgery, Jordan recovered (but has a nine-inch scar on his scalp and still no sense of smell) and committed himself to helping others improve their lifestyles. He developed his foundation to transform people, based on the three pillars of motivation, inspiration, and education.
Steve has been an Educator for The National Academy of Sports Medicine where he trained Fitness Professionals throughout the nation. He has consulted with some of the top fitness and sports performance companies in the industry helping to impart his cutting edge training techniques. His Posture Perfect™ video and manual has been featured in Men's Fitness. You may have seen his expertise featured on the mind and body in national publications and books such as Self, Fitness Magazine, Glamour, Men's Fitness, The NY Daily News and The Washington Post, The Core, Beyond Basic Training. He has made television appearances on The Oxygen Network, E!, NBC's Today Show.
